Tarja is a certified personal trainer, strength coach, and nutrition and wellness coach with a passion for helping people of all ages and backgrounds discover the joy of movement. Alongside her main career in academia, she has many years of experience in both personal training and group fitness instruction.
Tarja has coached a wide range of sports—from strength training and indoor cycling to functional fitness and yoga—and has guided clients toward diverse goals: losing weight, achieving their first pull-up, learning to hold a barbell overhead in a squat, preparing for military fitness tests, or simply gaining more energy for everyday life.
Her coaching philosophy is inspired by her passion for CrossFit. For Tarja, CrossFit is not merely a sport but a lifestyle that extends far beyond physical training. She values its community-focused spirit and inclusivity, believing that everyone, regardless of level, has a place in the gym. She is currently pursuing her CrossFit Level 1 certification (expected spring 2026).
